RULES
Night Runner Safety - All runners are required to wear a "night safety garment". A reflective safety vest is being provided for each person who registers (one size fits all).
Runner Registration - All runners are required to check-in with a race official at least 15 minutes before the start of the race.
Course Route - All runners must follow the course precisely. Please exercise caution when crossing roads and obey official's instructions at all times.
Aid Station Check In - All runners must check into each aid station. Let the aid station captain know if you are dropping from the race. There are safety issues with running and we do not want to expend search and rescue resources if you dropped from the race without telling a race official.
No Littering. Please leave trash at the aid stations.
Crews are welcome to assist their runners only at the aid stations, and must obey all direction given by the aid station staff.
100K Cutoff Times- The 100K must be finished in at least 18 hours. A cut off time of 12 hours to leave on the final 22 miles. That allows runners to average 18 minute miles for the first 40 miles. For the 100k at 18 hours, runners will be transported form the 100K course to the finish registration area and recieve a DNF.
Pacers are not allowed unless they are registered entrants.
(The exception to the pacer rule above is for 100K runners only. 100K runners are allowed pacers for the last 22 miles of the course.)
Running a Shorter Distance - Once the run begins a runner can opt to finish a shorter distance than originally registered, but the runner will not be considered for any awards except for the finishers award.
Run Modifications - Any modifications in the rules or procedures will come directly from the race directors. Race Directors are currently Steve Breeding, Richard Cox and John Neal.
