The Weather was humid during the run. There were brief periond of lvery light showers -- not enough water to affect the course. The temperature overnight was in the low 70"s and at dawn there was quite a bit of cloud cover. so the morining temperature was slow to rise. There was always a breeze out of the North, sometimes more of a "wind", but always welcome. The weather did not seem to be a determining factor with regard to performance. Seven of the eight 100K runners finished. . In all Ultra runs combined (50K and UP) all but 2 runners finished. Our aid stations reported a high consumption of liquids. Usually this time of year in North Central Kansas the weather is as one expect - hot, dry, and low humidity.
Bottom line would be that the course was fine and so were the temperature and wind. The humidity though a little high was acceptable..
