The Weather was very humid during the run.  There was a breeze out of the North.  The weather did not seem to have near the impact on the 10K and 10Mile runs as it did on the 40Mile and 100K runs.  Seven of the eleven 100K runners did not finish and two or the three 40 milers did not finish.  Many of these runners were with us last year and finished an ultra distance.   Most of the runners who did not finish attributed this fact to the extememly humid weather.  Our aid stations reported a high consumption of liquids.  Usually this time of year in North Central Kansas the weather is as one expect - hot, dry, and low humidity.

Below is the forcast for the weather forcast for the evening of the run, it came from weather.com .  The temperature and wind seemed to be right on target, but the humidity seems to be less accurate.  Most runners said they felt like the humidity was quite high, like 100%.

Bottom line would be that the course was fine and so were the temperature and wind, but the humidity was truly an issure.
